New Playground Equipment....

We've been looking at getting a dog house for Damien, so he can get out of the rain on days he is outside while we are gone. They run $100+ and so I found this one locally for $15. I was pretty pleased! We went and picked it up this afternoon. They girls washed it, and then played on it for hours! Cracks me up. They finally came up to the house, and now Damien is getting a chance to check it out. Not sure he likes it for sure yet, but he probably will during thurnderstorms!

So, the girls were playing outside all morning, and they ran in to ask me if I would play a game with them. I always answer cautiously... :) They were playing that they were in Jamaica and they wanted to have their hair put in little braids. I asked how long they were planning to leave them in, and they thought just until bed time. So, I said I would do braids, but not a headfull of little ones. Colesy got a braid wrapped around her head. Bout killed my back, but she likes it.

And she has a wee little bang braid too.

Shelby got a different variation, but she is happy with hers too. She liked it better after I took the picture and she could see it better.

Yeah for sunny warm days! FINALLY!!

before the concert, we finally found her out zooming around on her scooter. She makes me smile. What with being all dressed up and wearing her fancy sneakers and all. :)

DCS Spring Concert 2011

Shelby was quite pleased - she is in the back row - and almost in the middle. You have to be tall to be there. I asked mom and Shelby is only about 1/2 inch shorter than I was at this age. Somehow, that made Shelbs feel better. Except that I remember being one of the tallest.... ?! :)

An almost spring day...

We are so far behind this spring. It has rained and rained and it has been cool and we've been stuck inside for SO long now.

It finally warmed up enough that the girls played in the creek... well, in the flooded part of the creek.

We didnt have school on Monday, (after Easter), and I was dreading another indoor day.

But, they played out here for a long long time.

Back and forth between the trampoline and the creek.

I snuck out with the camera for a bit.

So, it has been raining - A LOT! It is painfully hard to stay inside when it should be nice out. So, the girls have opened their windows and they sit and look for birds and other items of interest.

This is Colesy's view. Blah! I cant wait for it to be green and leafy. My fingers are crossed for this week to bring the green. After all this rain, it is supposed to be warm.

So, silly faces and all, it is Easter!

We had trouble finding an Easter dress for Shelbs this year. They all looked little girl, so we settled on this. She liked it, I liked it, and it was cute/comfy.

And Colesy was content to wear Shelby's dress from last year, becuase she got new shoes (Sneakers) that matched! She is such a hoot and I love her to death!
