Demolition...

This is the farm house that has been in the Brownlee family for way longer than I ever knew, before today.  When Matt and I were married, this is where we lived for the first 2 years and 5 days of our marriage.  This is where Rusty ran free.  (He's also buried way back in the field that he loved to run in.)
After standing empty for about 2 years before we moved in, it was never in super condition.  And after being empty for the past 14 years since we moved out, it has really deteriorated.

This is my favorite picture. The window with the lace curtains from the top of the stairs is still intact.  Like a wild rose in the middle of a desert or something.  Beauty in the rubble.
I just liked it.

It was a neat thing to experience: the tear down of a house - but there were so many memoried that are attached to those walls.  It was sad to see them come down.

Its fairly amazing how quickly it went down (and how it really didnt just crumble down like I thought it would).
Here is what was left after several hours of work.
