So, we picked the dog up on the way home from Nelsons yesterday. He was at the kennel for Thanksgiving.
Anyhow, Shelby was snuggled with him this morning on the couch and she said "Mom, Dad, I think you need to check Damien for ticks."
Gross. That is such a yucky job!
So, we get around to getting ready to look, and Matt has the plyers just in case we really do need to do a removal.
As we are approaching the dog, Shelby says, "pull gently, it might be his nipple!"
LOL!

Thanksgiving 2010
I have so much to be thankful for.
I am married to a wonderful man. We are still madly in love. I am so happy that we share our lives.
I have two stunningly beautiful daughters. Both inside and out. I am blessed beyond words to be their mama. They make me laugh, and make me cry.
I have a loving family. My parents are an excellent example to me. Both in how to love, and how to be generous.
My siblings are fun, intelligent people. All have given me more people to love (brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and nephews and nieces). I love the chance to spend time with them all.
My in-laws are fabulous. I married into the best family. I've always been loved and accepted by them.
I have been "lucky" enough to have the bestest of friends. Some since birth, others at different seasons of life. All mean the world to me.
This Thanksgiving season, I realize all the more how much I have to be thankful for.

The beaver tree gave him the shakes! :)
Matt took this picture too. His hand was shaking so much that it is blurry. Poor guy! He said the noise from it was incredible. It crashed down all around him. He did not run into it, it fell on him as he was driving. He said he was standing on the brakes with both feet trying to stop. But it got him.

my sweet Shelb
We made new friends a year ago. They are the type of family you just cant help but love. After a short year in DuBois, God took them to Budapest Hungary. We were ALL so sad. They had quickly taken up a big part of our hearts.
They are coming home this month - for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I found this on the calendar the other day.
"Handels are coming. Can't express feelings"
So sweet.

Top Secret
I read from a diary today. I found it on my kitchen counter while I was cleaning up this morning.
" I keep the keys to my diary in front of the vent in my room beside my cup hiding under a cloth."
Ha Ha Ha.
Guess she should have used the key to lock the diary before she hid it! :)

I got my car back today. I love it. I knew I did, but it was confirmed this afternoon! Yippee! Pictures will follow tomorrow when the sun comes back out.

The verdict.....
So, just when I thought I had finally found an eye doctor I liked.....
Dr. Spingola told me today at my recheck that while my eyes were clearing up and looked better, I needed to wear my glasses for four more weeks. FOUR MORE WEEKS!?!? Four more WEEKS? FOUR. more. weeks. Can you even believe it? I thought I heard wrong. I had to have him repeat several times. I thought I was going to an appointment where he was planning to pat me on the back and tell me "Good job, you're healed. Pop them puppies (contacts) back in your eyes and live happy!" What a shocker for me! He said for the first week I could cut the drops back to twice a day and then the next week, just once a day. So I, trying to clarify said "So, 2 drops for a week and then one drop for a week, then contacts for 2 weeks and then I come see you. Right?" NOPE! those last two weeks are still in glasses, just no drops. He's KILLING me!
So, I go out to schedule the next appointment (in four weeks) and the girl says "How 'bout December 1?" I said, "How 'bout something earlier?" She said, "Doctor said 4 weeks" To which I respond, "Come on, you're killing me? Cant we scoot it up a little? two days, one day? "
Nope. December first it is.
Oh. Man.
This glasses thing is no piece of cake! I HATE it! Headaches, nose aches, ear aches. Bad attitude, blindness....
and now, I have to do a holiday with them.... and my birthday!
This is not a happy face!
