Heath Station Fish Hatchery

We stopped at the fish hatchery on the way home. The girls hadn't been there before. It is a small place, but we had fun walking around and looking at the fish.

Can you see the trout lined up by the rocks? The dark ones were hard to see, and harder to take a picture of, because of the fencing and nets around the pond. There were a couple of feed dispensers, so we fed them quarters so we could feed the fish. That was fun - watching them leap all over for a nugget of food.

We had one more stop with pictures on the way home, but I am tired, and dont have time to wait for the pictures to upload - so you'll have to wait... :)

Beartown Rocks ROCK!

The girls LOVE Beartown. I like to take them because they have so much fun, and it amazes me to see the trees growing on them with no dirt. It is really pretty there.

At one point, you can see for miles. It is breath taking.

Labor Day weekend fun...

We stopped for lunch at Angelos. It was SO yummy! I dont think I have had a cheese steak there in over a year! YIKES!!! :) It was fun. Then we went up to Farmers Inn. It is a little "zoo" and has a few petting animals and a few wild animals. It costs a whole $1 to get in. We havent been there all summer. We tried, but it rained HARD last time we tried. Anyhow...
We really liked this goat and thought he was really cute. Then we realized that he was stuck with his head through the fence, so Matt tweaked him so he got back in. He was happy to not have to stand there on his back legs any longer.

I fed this guy a piece of apple. He kinda freaked me out. He's reach his long neck s far as he could go. He had a prehistoric look to him!

and a donkey. We had fun, and the girls enjoyed themselves. The only thing we didnt do was get icecream. We were going to - that is 1/2 the fun of going, but we were still stuffed from Angelos. Oh well....

She only has to wear in after school and over night. Doc says her next teeth to fall out will be the fours. and then maybe we;ll have to pull the 3s to make room for them to all fit - but that is down the road. This retainer is just to keep her teeth from going back to where they were. We said good-bye to Mr. Bucky and we dont want him to come back!

First day of school 8/27/2009

She got these new "Sunday"shoes and insisted on wearing them the first day of school. How can a parent argue with that?! So, of she clip-clopped! :)

Shelby is in 4th and Colesy is in 3rd this year.
