"Mom, when I go back to school after the summer, I want a real, permanent scar from an alligator bite. That would be really cool!" ~ Colesy

Today

Lotsa hair on the floor!
Tammy's great. She did Shelby's hair when we got it done a few weeks ago.
So Colesy and I both went today. Colesy gave me a "look" when I pulled out the camera. Ha ha!
That was the first cut! We took a lot off. Tammy said that there is no reason for her to have to worry about not having enough hair! The poor little blue-tinted, thin haired lady next to us was looking longingly at the piles on the floor! There were several comments about enough to make a wig. I think the elderly gal would have snatched it right up!
Colesy made me put it back in the usual pony tail before going back to school, but soon I'll try to put an after picture up.

Random...

Shelby took these. . . . She talked to Daddy on the phone on the way to school today and when she hung up she sighed and said "I just love Daddy." My heart was so full! I am married to a wonderful man! I am blessed!

And sometimes, there are no words. I guess you can make up your own story about this picture! And Whatever you come up with just might possibly be right! Love my Peanut!!

More Office Pictures

Well, here is the 'hole'. I usually refer to it as the 'gaping' hole, but whatever! They are no longer able to cover it, so when you peer over the plywood wall, you see clear down the the basement floor! I'll be glad when there is no more reason to fear someone (me) falling down the shaft! of course, I'm really more concerned about the kids, but still, my heart beats funny when I see that hole.
I got him! That is Chuck! :)
They put of the metal beams for in the walls. I think that is what is going on! :) Word is drywall starts on Monday. It'd be nice if they could finish the inside of the office, but I'm not getting too excited about anything. When its done, it'll be done; I can't see getting excited about stuff before that.

Office demolition

Well, I finally remembered to take my camera, but the pictures didnt turn out too well. I'll still put them on here though. Today, Chuck came in near the end of school and started working again. He took DOWN the plywood walls and uncovered the gaping hole just minutes before the last bell rang. I was SO nervous. I did however run out to the car to get the camera to take a picture.... only to discover I had left it at home after downloading the last ones I took. So, I dont think I'll be able to get in on here at all. I hear talk of drywall tonight, so I'm not sure what I'll see in the morning.
I'm quite anxious to get it all done and the plastic wrap put away and the dust cleaned up and the floor clean and the clutter gone. I think the clutter and tight fit of everything is bothering me the most. Oh well. Chuck said by Christmas 2011 it should be done. I laughed cuz he was joking. He better be joking! I might have a nervous breakdown if he isnt!
This is the view from my desk. The door is open, and then so is the wall!
This picture shows the corner. Or lack thereof! These are my temporary plywood walls. With an additional stylish piece of plywood on the flood to block the gaping hole to the basement. I think my lovely bench is more of a barrier than a place to rest...or to await word from Headmaster Hoover!
I took this one from out in the hall. It is blurry cuz I was in a hurry so no one would see me looking like a tourist! You can just see the back of my chair in there. No privacy at all! Good or bad, I can see who is coming much earlier than I could before! And I got a call from a teacher in the basement who said she could hear me! YIKES!!! I have to try to remember to talk quietly. whatever!
And this one is from standing behind the counter. They will build a wall where the current painted drywall ends, and then I should be able to clean up and take care of things! Also please notice the welcoming lack of a ceiling as well. I like that feature a lot!
And yes, that is my cup of coffee, and I've needed lots of them! :) Luckily, Becky and I were smart enough to put a coffee pot in her office ~ where we can support our habit in the small amount of privacy left to us!

We'll see what new things tomorrow holds. Hopefully no plastic wrap!

Colesy

I should have been doing this all year, but alas, I just thought of it! :)
Colesy is supposed to use her spelling words in sentences. She cracks me up!
Here are a few from the past couple weeks:

I am going on a occasion.
I am going to marry a prince.
You are requested to meet someone at dinner.
It is going to take a while.
Are you going to take a glimpse at it with me?
You are not my kind of type.

Bittersweet Days

Nelsons, Brownlees, Handels, Hoovers, and Barackmans
Last Sunday was the Handels last time to be in our church before they move. :( Several of us got together after church and at the very end, we tried to take some pictures! Some turned out better than others!
Becky, Lisa, Kathleen, me and JoLynn.

These are the kids: Gabe and Gavin Hoover, Hayden, Holten and Halena Handel, Caleb and Kaitlin Barackman, Brianna Nelson and our girls - Shelbs and Colesy.

The kids played outside for a LONG time! They rode the sleds, built (and destroyed) forts, played capture the flag, and had general fun being kids!

And the 3 girls. Halena, Colesy and Shelby.
Colesy and her puppy! (who weighs more than she does!)
My three kids!

Colesy and Damien were wrestling the other night. I think Damien successfully pinned her!

Matts hand

so, I got a call at work this morning that Matt had gotten hurt. Never a good call to get! Debbie called to let me know that there had been an accident and Matt put a screwdriver in his hand. She said he was on his way to see Uncle Jim. She said that it bled a lot.

We didnt get home until late this evening, and he just unwrapped it. Yikes! He said "No wonder it hurt!"
It looks sooo painful!
Jim gave him a tetnus shot and an antibiotic for infections and he put the one stitch in to keep it together, but he wanted it to be able to seep. yikes! Cant wait to see the sheets in the morning! :)
Anyhow, thanks to you all who prayed today.
I'm exhausted. Later.
