The HORRIBLE flu bug!

Not sure if this is what you all want to know or not, but we had a violent strain of the flu bug storm our house for the last week.
Last Sunday, Shelby complained of a tummy ache all afternoon, evening, but I thought nothing of it. 'Til 1:00 am when she burst in my room to tell me she had to throw up! I told her to RUN FOR THE BATHROOM!!! She made it mostly out of our room before exploding through the hall and into the bathroom. There was throw up EVERYWHERE!!! Up the walls, on the floor, on the toilet, in her hair, all down her jammies. It was gross, absolutely gross. So, I cleaned her up and changed her jammies and put everything in the laundry and back to bed we went. Well, they she bursts in again saying she has to diarrhea, and she doesn't want to do it alone, could you please come and stand with me? Aren't those words to melt a mommy's heart! So, we did that for the rest of the night and through noon on Monday. (Thanks to MLK, I was able to stay home with her.) Tuesday, I didn't feel she was better, so I sent her off for a fun-filled, relaxing day with Grammy, while Colesy and I went to school.
Wednesday was back to normal, off to school, run home and see Daddy before he left for class and then hurry up and leave for AWANA at church. I wasn't hungry, so I made the girls PB sandwhiches (I know, #1 mom award again this year...). Colesy did not want to eat hers, but she is picky at times anyhow. So, we rush up to church and get there just in time for Colesy to hurl down the hallway. (twice) so, I made arrangements for Shelby to be brought home and Colesy and I rushed home again. We put in Anne of Green Gables and watched it for an hour. Then I took her up to bed and as I was helping her with her bathroom things, she threw up again, and I began my violent decent into the world of the horribly ill! The two of us spent most of the night in the bathroom, (although Colesy only made it to the hall). I stayed home both Thursday and Friday. And spent most of those 2 days in bed. I would be "up" for 2-2.5 hours and then sleep just as long and then do it again. and still sleep 10-12 hours at night. Oh yeah, Thursday night, Colesy spiked a fever of 104 which made me in contention for the #1 mom of the year award again. (I was too busy laying around taking care of me to think about WHY she crawled up on the bed and went to sleep.)
I kept both girls home Friday. Colesy, since I didn't think she should go to school after her fever was up so high, and it stayed at 102 for most of Friday. And Shelby was kept home to be my helper! She was a fantastic helper. She made me proud. :o)
Well, that is all, I certainly hope, anyhow! May you all avoid the awfulness of that flu bug!
