Overheard conversation from today...

Setting: Shelby and Colesy sitting on the porch, pretending that they work in an office (quite the glamorous job!)
Colesy: You missed the budget meeting
Shelby: Well I had to get my hair done.
C: This is the THIRD budget meeting you have missed. Tell me why.
S: Like I said, I had to get my hair done. I couldnt miss my appointment.
C: I left you a message about it. You never check your messages. If you had checked your messages, you would have known about the meeting.
S: I'm sorry, can I have another chance?
C: You can have 2 more chances, and then I will have to fire you.
S: Okay, I'll get up at 6 and get my hair done and I promise I will be at work by 3.
C: Alright. That is a good plan. Anyhow, I was at your house and I went in and saw that you have 100 messages. I think it would be good if you would check your messages. Then you would know about the budget meeting.

I was in hysterics.
