Don't they look handsome/beautiful!
The whole wedding party.
Now I must say that I really don't like my camera.
I think that is the basic reason that I don't take more pictures.
That and I don't think of it!
And that is why there are no more pictures to
represent our trip to Iowa.
Anyhow, the best part of Kevin getting married in IOWA is that Luree lives there!
We left early on Thursday morning. (6 am) we drove straight to Davenport Iowa, with only 3 stops. The girls were absolutely fabulous in the car! They didnt even pull out the DVD player or anything. I was very proud of them. We pulled into the hotel about 4 pm Iowa time. It took us 11 hours to get there. We went to dinner and then the girls jumped in the pool. They swam for an hour before bed. I sat beside the hot tub with my fee dangling in. It was yummy! :)
Friday morning, Luree, Aaron and their 2 kids arrived just before 9. We had THE best time with them. The kids swam for 5 hours straight. Matt and Aaron talked guns and whatever else they thought of (maybe they never left the gun topic?)
Luree and I had a great visit. She is so good for my moral (sp?). I always feel energized and refreshed after spending time with her. All too soon, our time together was over. I'm certainly blessed to have her as a friend. Thanks Lur!
Anyhow, they left and we got ready for rehearsal. Off we went. had rehearsal, spent Saturday at the church doing wedding stuff and reception stuff, and in there some time Nathan called and asked if they could meet us for lunch the next day on our way home. We consulted the map and decided to just head to Indy in the morning and spend Sunday afternoon and evening with Nathan Jill and Brennan. That was a nice choice! We had another chance for a great visit (and good food!) and then Monday we came home. It was a long trip, and a lot of miles, but the trip was good, and I'm glad we had the opportunity to go.
Thanks for taking the time to read!
