These pictures are of the balloons as they came in over our heads towards the X in the field and then on to the next leg of the competition.
See how the sun balloon is "regular" shaped, and the geometric patterned one is taller and narrower? That one is a competition balloon. It can go straight up and down. I was amazed! Really cool to watch.
They were all so pretty, and the sky was just full of them. The weather was perfect. At 6: 30 there was no need for a jacket or socks! It was lovely to sit in a lawn chair and watch the "hot balloons" go over head. 
There were just so many! I know these all start to look the same, but they aren't!
I like this picture with the moon and the balloon together in space!
