We were eating at the picnic table on the porch one evening and we watched a bird fly into one of the bushes we have near the road. Upon closer inspection, a nest with eggs was discovered.
They were so pretty. Not plain like a robin lays.
Quite soon after that, we watched mama arriving with worms, so we new the eggs must have hatched.
While they made the nest close to the road, it was in a difficult spot for us to get to. Occassionally, one of the girls would venture up to get a picture.
After this one was taken, we went a few days without checking on their status. When we did decide that we needed to check because they were probably getting ready to leave, we accidentally scared them and they all left the nest. Oops! :)
