Finlay Park

We got up Friday morning before the wedding and went to downtown Columbia to Finlay Park. It was smallish, but very pretty, and it gave us something fun/different to do. Matt found this itty bitty frog that the girls had fun playing with.
He looked like a bug!

There were some neat waterfalls and fountains. All man-made, but pretty, and with the heat, it was lovely. Especially this one. It had a little pathway behind it and it produced a lovely mist that was much welcomed in the heat!

Matt and I sat on a bench under the trees and the girls played. They went back and forth behind the waterfall, and picked "thumbelina" hats. (Made me think of Trinity.)

Colesy picked the biggest one! We told her no more after that. We figured they were some state flower or something and we'd get in trouble for having picked them!

We must have a thing for birds this year! This one was dead when we found it.

Just a really pretty place, in the middle of downtown.

They were so cute walking together. My girls have a great daddy. And I love him!
